Today’s daily tip incorporates the school of thought, “Out of sight, out of mind.”
Don’t buy it! Whatever “it” may be for you, that bag of chips, tub of ice cream, box of donuts, jar of candies, don’t buy it! You don’t need it, and if it’s in your house, more than likely you will eat it, and that derails any body shaping effort! I’ve experienced this first hand on more than one occasion, I go scouring through the kitchen, looking for anything that has extra sugar in it, and I can not find a thing. Sure, I could walk to the store, but that would be too much effort for something I will regret later, so I gulp a glass of water, or eat an apple instead. Of course there are those days I find something worthwhile, like that S’mores kit I hid in the back of the cupboard (because apparently we’re too lazy to buy our marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers separately!?), and 5 minutes later half the chocolate bar has vanished. unnecessary! Keep it out of your kitchen, just don’t buy it.
Don’t buy it for your family either, do they really need all that excess sugar or trans fat? No. And if they complain, tell them if they can’t go a little while without eating their favourite junk food to help support you and your efforts, then they can go buy their own groceries!
