There’s one thing that I’ve learned is very important when it comes to dieting, healthy eating, weight loss and changing your eating habits…

Day 28:Treat yourself. If you’re following any diet plan or just eating as healthily and clean as you can, you need a treat meal once in a while. That way you won’t feel deprived or like you’re missing out. I’d suggest once a week, although if you want to make it once every two weeks, feel free. There’s one thing that you need to learn however, It’s a treat meal. Not a treat day, or weekend, or week! It can sometimes be a bit challenging to allow yourself to eat whatever you want, and then to hop back on your clean eating path, and not let that junk food train whisk you away! This is where moderation and portion control really comes in handy, sure have that slice or two of pizza, but don’t have the entire thing! Enjoy your bowl of ice cream with all the toppings, but don’t finish the tub! Also think of it as a treat, not a “cheat.” This isn’t a test, there’s no pass or fail, it’s your life and your “diet” needs to fit in it easily. So whatever there is throughout the week that you feel like you’ve been missing or craving, save it for that special treat meal, whatever day you choose, and enjoy it. Guilt free, because one meal will not derail all your efforts. A whole day of extra calories, every week will slow things down, and so on!
